As a palate refresher from the relentless promotion of Sunmers At The Saint (out May 7) I present my newly slip covered sofa which was delivered today. Squee! I bought this sofa at an estate sale 14 years ago, had it recovered in my fave cotton duck. But with 3 English setters lounging around it had gotten kinda grimy. About 5 years ago, I bought a bolt-end of a discontinued Rose Cumming chintz from a now-defunct online shop. 36 yards for less than $100. It sat in a closet because I thought chintz had gone out of style. But a month ago I decided to embrace my inner meemaw and have the sofa slipcovered. And I love it! Especially with the Chang Mai pillows I bought from a great Etsy shop called @pillowtimegirls (And the velvet pillows I picked up at an estate sale week before last.) Stay tuned to see how it looks with my also newly slipcovered blue and white ticking sofas. What do you think? Is too much pattern too much?
