CHRIS BOHJALIAN | MARCH 17 | 7:30 PM | COLUMBUS MUSEUM OF ART
Chris Bohjalian is the critically acclaimed #1 New York Times bestselling author of more than 20 books. His new novel, The Red Lotus, is a twisting story of love and deceit about those who dedicate their lives to saving people, and those who peddle death to the highest bidder. Austin and Alexis first met in an emergency room, where Alexis, an ER doctor, sutured a bullet wound in his arm. Months later, on the brink of falling in love, the couple travels to Vietnam. While on a bike ride on a rural road, Austin vanishes into thin air. As Alexis grapples with this bewildering situation, she uncovers a series of strange lies that force her to wonder: Where did Austin go? Why did he really bring her to Vietnam? And how much danger has he left her in?
PATTI CALLAHAN HENRY | MARCH 24 | 7:30 PM | COLUMBUS MUSEUM OF ART
Patti Callahan Henry is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of 15 novels. In 2020, she was named the Harper Lee Distinguished Writer of the Year. Her novel Becoming Mrs. Lewis illuminates the story of poet and writer Joy Davidman, the woman C.S. Lewis called “my whole world.” Joy began writing letters to him for spiritual answers, not love. Everything about her seemed ill-matched for an Oxford don and the beloved writer of Narnia, yet they bonded over their letters. Embarking on the adventure of her life, Joy traveled from America to England, facing heartbreak and poverty and discovering friendship and faith. Joy lived at a time when women weren’t meant to have a voice—and yet her love for C.S. Lewis gave them both voices they didn’t know they had.
Becoming Mrs. Lewis Expanded Paperback Edition coming March 24, 2020 (available for pre-order now.) Behind the Scenes of Becoming Mrs. Lewis Podcast Audiobook available now.
JEFF VANDERMEER | APRIL 9 | 7:30 PM | COLUMBUS MUSEUM OF ART
Jeff VanderMeer has been dubbed “the weird Thoreau” by The New Yorker. His latest novel, Dead Astronauts, features a messianic blue fox who slips through time and space on a mysterious mission; a homeless woman haunted by a demon who finds a strange journal; a leviathan fish, centuries old, who remembers a past that may not be its own; a madman with an invisible monster whose name he has forgotten and whose purpose remains hidden. In this landscape, VanderMeer presents a City where, in the shadow of the all-powerful Company, life converges in miraculous ways. At stake: the fate of Earth―all the Earths. VanderMeer’s last novel was Borne, which Colson Whitehead called “a thorough marvel." He is also known for his NYT-bestselling Southern Reach trilogy.
ARIEL LAWHON | APRIL 15 | 7:30 PM | COLUMBUS MUSEUM OF ART
Ariel Lawhon's books include Flight of Dreams and I Was Anastasia. Her new book is Code Name Hélène, based on the real-life story of spy Nancy Wake, an astonishing woman who killed a Nazi with her bare hands and became one of the most decorated women in WWII. Code Name Hélène follows interweaving stories of the four code names Nancy used during WWII. As Lucienne Carlier, Nancy smuggles people and documents across the border and earns a nickname from the Gestapo for her ability to evade capture: The White Mouse. With a bounty on her head, Nancy is forced to run and adopt the name Hélène. Finally, she becomes the deadly Madam Andrée and one of the most powerful leaders in the French Resistance.
SAMANTHA DOWNING | MAY 5 | 7:30 PM | COLUMBUS MUSEUM OF ART
Samantha Downing's novel, My Lovely Wife, was a USA Today bestseller and the Amazon Best Thriller of the Month. She will talk about her highly anticipated novel, He Started It. Beth, Portia, and Eddie Morgan haven't all been together in years. But when their wealthy grandfather dies and leaves a cryptic final message, the siblings must come together to fulfill his final wish and—more importantly—secure their inheritance. But time with your family can be tough. It's even harder when you're all keeping secrets and trying to forget a memory, a missing person, an act of revenge, and the man who won't stop following your car—and especially when at least one of you is a killer and there's a body in the trunk. Just to name a few reasons. But money is a powerful motivator. It is for everyone.

COLUMBUS NOIR WITH ANDREW WELSH-HUGGINS AND OTHERS | MARCH 3 | 7:00 PM | COLUMBUS MUSEUM OF ART
Columbus Noir is an original noir anthology featuring stories by Andrew Welsh-Huggins, Lee Martin, Robin Yocum, Kristen Lepionka, Yolonda Tonette Sanders, Julia Keller, and more. Today, Columbus is an epicenter of the opioid epidemic, awash in heroin and even deadlier fentanyl. Homicides and infant mortality rates are rising. At long last, we’re finally as lethal as any big American city. In that light (and darkness), Columbus Noir is a collection of shadowy tales from the city’s best storytellers set in neighborhoods across the metropolis. Sexual passion drives many of the stories, racism makes an appearance or two, and greed and pride—the twin pillars of noir—will never die. Still, a deep appreciation of Columbus runs through the book.
RECEPTION: Join us for a pre-event reception with the authors from 5:30–6:30 pm at Thurber Center (91 Jefferson Ave.). Light hors d'oeuvres will be served. Tickets to the reception include admission to the event.

Science does not stand still, and this is very cool. Our construction complex needs promising projects. But something still remains the same. For example, negligence in construction and the occurrence of construction defects. Therefore, I always use the Building Defect Inspection service to protect myself and save my budget.
