Happy Publication Day to The Secret Book of Flora Lea!

Updated: May 3, 2023

May 2, 2023 | Pub Day Newsletter PCH

“Not so very long ago and not so far away”

Dear Reader,

Those are the first lines in The Secret Book of Flora Lea, and I am delighted to finally say this TODAY – On May 2nd, 2023 – IT IS PUBLICATION DAY FOR THE SECRET BOOK OF FLORA LEA! And I am so happy to finally share this story with you. When I first sat down to write this novel a few years ago, I knew only two things: That there would be an imaginary land and that a little sister had gone missing during Operation Pied Piper. Slowly, over time through words, pages, despair, and joy, I found the story of Hazel and Flora Lea. In this story, I planted the seeds of some of my favorite things: fairy tales, sisters, first love, the English countryside, a mystery, London, Antiquarian bookshops, and a river, of course, always a river.

Here are a few things to remind you about on pub day.

I leave today and embark on a book tour that I hope brings me near you!

CLICK HERE FOR THE BOOK TOUR. With loads of events and fascinating in-conversation partners. I can’t wait to see you! If you can’t make any of these LIVE events, our Friends and Fiction Launch Party VIRTUAL EVENT is on Wednesday, May 3rd, at 7 PM EST. (And you never know what will happen there!) If you’d like signed first edition copies, you can get them HERE (Alabama Booksmith) and HERE (Friends and Fiction Box), and HERE (BAM Signed Copies) If you’d like the Barnes and Noble Special Edition with colorized endpapers and an exclusive essay HERE, If you’d like the Book of the Month Club Special Add-On, you can find that HERE! I am both overwhelmed and thrilled with the support for Flora Lea:
