FLORENCE, S.C. -- New York Times bestselling author of fourteen novels, Patti Callahan Henry, will appear Thursday, 6 p.m., in the Stukes Room of the Drs. Bruce and Lee Foundation Library to discuss her newest novel, The Favorite Daughter.

Henry’s Florence visit is one of her first stops since the novel’s official launch on June 4 and part of the Friends of the Florence County Library’s author lecture series.

Born the daughter of a Presbyterian minister in Philadelphia, she attended Auburn University for her undergraduate work, and Georgia State University for her graduate degree. Once a pediatric clinical nurse specialist, she now writes full time. The mother of three children, she lives in both Mountain Brook, Alabama, and Bluffton, with her husband. Henry is a New York Times bestselling author.

Her latest novel is set in the Lowcountry of South Carolina and is a “novel about the power of memory, the meaning of family, and learning to forgive.”

The meeting is free and open to the public. The author will be on hand to answer questions and sign books after the talk.
