Unsinkable: The Titanic Podcast Interview

OCTOBER 16, 2023

Welcome to Unsinkable: The Titanic Podcast, a comprehensive look at the ship, its crew + passengers, the art it has inspired, and the cultural history of its legacy (which is, of course, absolutely unsinkable). Hosted by historian L.A. Beadles, an absolute Titanic nerd. https://www.unsinkablepod.com/

BOOK CLUB: SURVIVING SAVANNAH

with NYT Best Selling Author, Patti Callahan Henry

For the season's inaugural book episode, I'm honored to bring you a candid and nuanced conversation with author Patti Henry; her work Surviving Savannah explores (through historical fiction) the sinking of the southern steamship Pulaski in the first half of the nineteenth century. We spoke about everything from her research process and the wild synchronicities within it to shipwreck artifact retrieval to the importance of shedding light on the history of slavery in America. This was a dynamic chat and I thank Patti for taking the time!

Find her website here, where you can link to her books, her bio, and her podcast on the Pulaski and the almost-unbelievable journey of Surviving Savannah:
